ALEXANDRIA INDUSTRIAL ESTATE

JXB were contracted to transform and update a large portion of the Alexandria Industrial Estate.  The project scope was to undertake an adaptive re-use of the existing, underutilised original Sydney warehouse complex, and turn it into a vibrant new workplace containing retail, office, studio and showroom spaces.

Works included major structural demolition & repair, Façade upgrade including openings and windows, entrances, ramps, stairs, loading docks and awnings.  Each building required an entire roof replacement, new skylights, sawtooth feature glazing installation and height safety systems. All services were updated to suit the new use, with new fixtures and finishes including polished concrete, tiling & painting throughout. Three new amenities blocks were created along with external works including new car parking, line marking, landscaping, access and wayfinding signage.
