MICROSOFT, 1 EPPING RD, NORTH RYDE

Sitting proudly at number 1 Epping Rd, Ryde, the former Microsoft Campus was once a flagship piece for Goodman. After a long lease period the building lacked the elegance and services required to attract its full leasing potential. JXB were engaged to undertake a complete property refurbishment & overhaul to convert the site from a single occupancy to a muti tenanted asset. 

Working with a staged project delivery, the contract included extensive design management to ensure a seamless upgrade from the basement through to the roof. Internal upgrade works included a high spec. architectural lobby, lift foyers, HVAC, fire & electrical services, male/ female & DDA bathrooms, kitchen, end-of-trip facilities, exposed ceilings, polished concrete floors, carpet, vinyl and tiles, feature joinery, glazed partitioning and finished with modern office furniture throughout. Externally, we provided new on grade carparking and landscaping to improve traffic flow and visual appearance.

Of special note, the lobby entrance at this site was redefined with Sculptform; a cutting-edge, concealed fixing, timber batten system. JXB were the first in the world to use bespoke steam curved pieces, requiring the team to collaborate with the Sculptform designers and manufacturers. Pushing the materials boundaries and redefining the products abilities allowed delivery of an impressive entrance.

The intricacies of this project and stage handover, required JXB to adapt throughout the process, working closely with our client, certifier and the changing needs of their tenants.
