BUILDING C & D - ROOFTOP MEMBRANE
Building’s C & D within Talavera Corporate Park, were experiencing disruptions to operations due to leaks caused by weathered rooftop membrane.
JXB were engaged to complete the rooftop upgrades in August 2022 over a 12 week program.
Stage 1 was to remove the existing polyurethane membrane whilst working around existing services and penetrations. Stage 2 was to prepare the roof surface followed by the installation of a two-layer, torch on bituminous membrane system. Other upgrades undertaken were replacement of all perimeter roof cappings and installation of weatherproof seals over the top of all windows to prevent further leaking.
Works were completed safely in a working at heights environment. Special safety equipment was used including the erection of temporary rails and installation of temporary access points. Multiple crane lifts at different stages of the project were coordinated to ensure efficient and safe load in and load out of materials.
